The Kensington Breastfeeding Chair is designed especially for breastfeeding mothers. It was created after extensive development and research by Dr Lynn Jones, a Principal Lecturer in Furniture Design. MumStuff are delighted to offer the chair in a superior fabric - Agua Stirata which is available in a stunning range of over 25 colours! Detailed colour and fabric details are available below.

For a personal service, please contact us, we have been retailing the Kensington Breastfeeding Chair since 2005. We are happy to send you free fabric samples (maximum 4 colours) and to give you any additional information on the chair based on our own experience of using it! Just fill in this form.

Ergonomic Design:

Dr Lynn Jones interviewed, drew, photographed and video taped women while they breastfed, looking to create a revolutionary nursing chair without the need for arms which can hinder breastfeeding. Using this information Dr Lynn Jones created the Kensington Chair in a ergonomic shape offering:
* a low seat to ensure feet are placed squarely and firmly on the floor, keeping the body weight evenly distributed and the spine straight.
* 'Wings' to suggest a feeling of an intimate, enclosed space for mother and baby.
* gently tilted seat, which ensures the mother's back is flat against the chair back, keeping the spine perfectly supported and removing the need for cushions or pillows.
* An integral, inflatable lumbar 'cushion' which provides perfect support for the lower back.
* A generously wide seat with 'flared' sides to allow an older sibling to 'perch' during breastfeeding.

Dr. Lynn Jones designed the Kensington Breastfeeding Chair to give women the ultimate in comfort whilst breastfeeding. MumStuff are delighted to offer this custom made chair in a revolutionary new upholstery fabric - Agua Stirata stretch fabric. It is ideal for the rigors of family life whilst being exceptionally comfortable and luxurious!

Fabric Specification:

MumStuff recommends Agua Stirata fabric not only for its exceptional qualities as listed below but also for the comfort and soft luxurious valour feel of the fabric.

* Soft feel valour fabric for extra comfort.
* Stain Resistant - to grease, ink, blood, urine, coffee, iodine, betadine, hetchup, chewing gum, chocolate, grape juice.
* Waterproof - water or oil based solutions will not penetrate or absorb into the fabric.
* Wipe Clean - with a damp cloth immeadiately.
* Anti-bacterial - will not support microbial or fungal growth incl. Samonella, E Coli and MRSA.
* Anti-fungal - will not mould or mildew
* Breathable - for increased comfort
* Fire Retardant

To compliment the set, Dr. Lynn Jones has also designed a footstool to complete the set. It is approximately 55 cm diameter x 36 cm height.
