Chieftain's Technology:

Chieftain working with Ciba ® IRGAGUARD ® B5000 has been proven to effectively counter-act against today’s infectious diseases, such as Clostridium Difficile (C.diff), MRSA and E-coli.

Ciba ® IRGAGUARD ® B5000, is incorporated into the vinyl in the manufacturing process. Ciba ® IRGAGUARD ® B5000 is an inorganic Silver Zeolite based antimicrobial ingredient. The silver based antimicrobial use an ion exchange mechanism that slowly release them into the vinyl. These interact with the micro-organisms bonding sites preventing a wide spectrum of bacteria from reproducing within and on the surface of the fabric. This slow, regulated release provides long-lasting effectiveness counter-acting the most infectious diseases, even after regular cleaning.

This ingredient provides long-lasting effectiveness, counter-acting even the most infectious organisms such as MRSA and e-coli bacteria. Amongst other benefits, it resists the development of mould and mildew and helps to prevent musty or stale odours.

Usage:

Designed to withstand the rigorous demands of both heavy domestic and contract upholstery, this vinyl is ideal for areas of extreme heavy usage such as busy maternity units. MumStuff would certainly recommend the vinyl covering in such busy environments where staff may not have the time or opportunity to care for a fabric chair and are unable to immeadiately remove any stains to maintain its good looks.
